PARAFFIN WRAPS One of thermo-treatment forms.
Paraffin stiffens under temperatures of 52 - 62°C. The source of this heat is liberated latent heat of stiffening process, not only the the difference between liquid paraffin and the skin. This heat is distributed into the skin evocating the thermoregulation reaction. For treatment also a segment reflective effect is used, especially the analgetic and spasmolytic ones.
Temperatures of the applied paraffin are 55 - 60°C.
