The first wodeen look-out tower to stand on the peak og Háj did so from 1933 to 1953, thanks to the efforts of the Šumperk branch of the Czech Tourist Club. The present look-out tower is again wooden, but is protected by an outer skin; it is 29 m high, and was opened in 1996. It offers a beautiful view over Šumperk, and of the Jeseník mountain range.
